ClipIt ("ClipIt," "we," "us," or "our") provides a mobile application that helps athletes, coaches, teammates, and trainers share short video clips and exchange timestamped feedback. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the ClipIt app and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: email address, username, display name, profile photo, bio, and other profile details you choose to provide.
- Content you create: video clips, messages, comments, drawings, voice notes, and other feedback attached to clips.
- Communications: messages you send to us, including support requests sent to hello@clipit.coach.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device type, operating system, app version, language, and general technical identifiers needed to operate the Service.
- Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver alerts about new messages and clips.
- Usage and diagnostics: basic event data such as app interactions, playback activity, and crash or error reports used to improve reliability and performance.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Authenticate users and secure accounts
- Deliver clips, messages, and notifications to the right recipients
- Store and display timestamped comments, drawings, and voice notes
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the Service
- Monitor performance, fix bugs, and prevent abuse or fraud
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With other users you choose to interact with: when you send a clip or message, recipients in that conversation can see the content you share.
- With service providers: trusted vendors that help us host data, deliver notifications, store media, and operate the app. These providers process information only on our instructions.
- For legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ClipIt, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Video and Media Content
Clips and related media you upload are stored so they can be played back, shared within conversations you participate in, and annotated with comments, drawings, or voice notes. You control who receives your clips by choosing the conversation and recipients within the app.
Do not upload content you do not have the right to share. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions required from athletes, parents, teams, or organizations shown in your videos.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or backup purposes.

6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Children
ClipIt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Users
If you use the Service from outside the country where our servers or service providers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in other countries with different data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
